When we were in Rome we learned that Vesta was the goddess of hearth and home. I started doing a little research about her and found this vintage “vesta” sewing machine image. I could not resist the play on words! Someday, perhaps a version of this thank-you note will be in the “ready-to-write” collection!

Sweet Mrs. Monica Tay Belej managed to combine two of my favorite things as a post project gift – Champagne – and Custom, Personalized things for everyday life. Love, love, LOVE! What you see here are custom bottles of Champagne from Windsor Vineyards. For years I have been ordering their label with the words “To good wine and good friends” Compliments of ABC. But little did I know that they will do custom images. Monica used an image of the cheesecake she had painted for Kate’s Baby Shower (based off the design I did for the invitaitons!) Brides MUST keep this in mind when it comes to gifts for their wedding parties or as a party favor, depending on your budget.

- THE PRINTED INVITATION -

The front of the invitation. Kate spent a ton of time in the Ukraine during her stint in the Peace Corps (home of the nesting doll.) Since Kate has a baby “nesting” inside of her, we decided to use this as the party and invitation theme.

Kate’s very favorite is pink. She also is extremely tied into her Irish Heritage. When you meet her, you will not get through the first conversation without learning that her favorite holiday is St. Patties day. Since she does not know the sex of the baby, the color theme was a no-brainer. Kate is due next month, quietly hoping for a March 17th delivery! winkwink.

Also, I wish I could have forwarded Kate’s voice mail to me about the invitations. She was blown away and just gushing about how cute they were! I wish I had gotten my thoughts organized sooner or else I would have asked you to do Cecilia’s first birthday invites—so maybe next year!

Baby Boy Mackley was born on February 26th at 3:54pm. He is 18.5 inches long, 6.14lbs, blonde and has a Scorpio Moon (As per the astrology loving Grandmother!) Everyone is healthy and happy.
