Totally off topic – sort of.

I have always collected magazine tears from interior design magazines and made “dream decorating” collages. This method inspired the decor style for our first apartment together as a married couple. Over and over when you tear pictures that you like from magazines, certain themes and color schemes are prevalent throughout your selections.

Last weekend, I started to collect web images of interior design color schemes that inspire me – perhaps I will start making interior design influenced inspiration boards that will someday become the color inspiration for stationery -?- This weekend, I found I was drawn to all things lavender and red. What a pretty combination for wedding stationery!

Sometimes looking at interior design images can inspire the color story for your wedding or event style. This photo below could inspire a golden, kelly green and purple colored wedding suite … Lovely combination.

I realize home decor is totally off the wedding topic, but most of us will find ourselves setting up house with our “Soon-to-be-Mr” around wedding time. If you need suggestions and a daily dose of inspiration during your morning cup of coffee – look no further than Studio Annetta and Desire to Inspire! These two sources are daily design inspiration for me. Decorating eye candy. I love these pictures that both blogs posted featuring the work of interior designer Paul Fortune. The style is relaxed, yet incredibly chic.

LOVE these dining side chairs! If they were not so totally uncomfortable to sit in, they’d be on my decorating list. Adore the built in hutches. I like the mix of traditional architecture features and the simple modern looking light fixtures. A fireplace in the dining area, please … LOVE it.

Rustic, modern … comfortable. The perfect nesting spot to relax and call home. I want to read the paper and drink my morning coffee on that sofa. Take some time on both of these blogs, you may just find the color combination or design inspiration perfect for your wedding day!
