Wishing for winter …
As the air conditioning installation saga continues, I dream of the winter months. Last weekend I had a few minutes to peruse the Gorsuch Winter 2009 catalogue that arrived in the post.
I love these simple long strand gold necklaces with tiny tiny diamond accents.
So simple, and so very lovely. Pretty with a simple sheath dress. They are long enough to wrap around the neck more than once, changing the silhouette and adding versatility. I like that in a piece of jewelry.
Of course, if you are honeymooning out west you may need a coat like one of these pictured below. Of course you can find them at Gorsuch along with the prettiest ski gear around!
If this luxury snow gear is your style, you may want to check out Jackson Hole. It is gorgeous all year around with plenty of outdoor activities. If it is ski season, consider staying at The Four Seasons where you can ski out directly onto the Mountain.
Jackson Hole is where Mr. D and I spent our honeymoon. We didn’t want to commit to skiing everyday so we went low key and in town and stayed at The Rusty Parrot.
What sold the hotel to us was the Wild Sage (a four Star Restaurant in house!) and the spa. They have excellent massage practitioners and we scheduled a couples massage for each day of our honeymoon! Indulgent, I know … but isn’t that what a honeymoon should be?

The Wild Sage Restaurant has excellent breakfast which was included in our room rate. At night it is a candle-lit romantic and cosy spot with delicious food!
Many restaurants in town are world class – New York City cuisine surrounded by the “old west” feel. We might just go back to Jackson for the tasty food!
Outrageous snow on the mountain tops!
Amazing sunsets. The sky is so BIG out west, it is hard to describe.
If you are looking for a completely over-the-top honeymoon spot, check out the Amangani resort.
It’s on my short list of places I would like to stay. We considered it for our honeymoon, but were afraid we would never make it to the slopes!
Complete luxury. At it’s finest!
