After I did this post last Friday, the W Union Square sent over some pictures of the space all dressed up for different weddings. So much fun to see the the space in different ways, I had to share!

Picture above and below are the same room with different treatment of lighting and decoration – Such a different feel! It goes to show that hiring a lighting designer might not be such a bad idea!

Again, I am so excited to work with the W. It is going to be a lot of fun tying in the elements from this amazing space with the stories of the couples who marry there!

Remember earlier, when I said I “loved” the Ochre Convex Mirror -?- Is it because I liked the one at Orchre now I am seeing it everywhere I look? Have they been here all along and I did not notice?

Whatever the case, I am issuing a *TREND ALERT* I have started to see these mirrors, everywhere!

Yes, this is a convex mirror hanging over a marble fireplace at one of my favorite London Restaurants! I logged onto their site to snag a good picture of the space and instead I have to write an Obituary! In loving memory of the fabulous Oratory Restaurant … they have closed the doors due to losing the lease! It was so dreamily candlelit with fruited crystal chandeliers that I could not capture both the light and the space with a flash. Teal walls were accessorized with gold stars, swirls and trim. The bar was a mosaic of sea shells embedded in a sandy colored base. Seriously one of my favorite spaces in London. A heartbreak, I will miss the mood of the space and the menu of deep fried brie with cranberry and the “lamb”burgers with ziti!

My walk to the market is a dangerous one. There are so many interior design shops on our block! When I round the corner onto Broome Street – I have no resistance left. I get sucked into Ochre every time.

This leather day bed sits close to the floor – and would look so amazing floating on the floor of our loft space.

I am crazy for this convex mirror. It’s available in 4 sizes from 30cm to 120. The largest is quite an imposing statement yet oh-so-stunning.

These are so unbelievable in person. If budget permits, check out the bespoke lighting – what a delight!

FYI: This pre-grocery furniture shopping vortex is how the front room ended up housing the beautiful Ochre Rectangular Moon cocktail table. You go out for eggs and tomatoes and end up with designer furniture. Dangerous – I tell you – DANGEROUS! That’s it. Tonight, we have leftovers! winkwink.
