Dec 30th 2008 Pumpkin Bread & Sugar Cookies
On our first date Mr. D asked “So what do you like to do in your free time?”
ABC said “I like to bake.”
Mr. D said “What do you bake?”
ABC said “Goods. I bake goods.”
He got a little crinkle in his nose *perplexed* with a “what planet did you come from?” look in his eye.
Now he understands!~ I bake goods.
This one is super easy and tastes delicious! Add some chocolate chips for extra flair. Nice. The little girls and boys are my grandma Ann’s sugar cookie recipe. They are the perfect little bite-sized treats!

These Russian Tea Cake Cookies are piled high, just like the colorful ornaments!
More snow globes… I can’t get enough of them.

Dec 29th 2008 I’m a sucker for SNOWMEN & Santa!
In the china hutch…

Mom gave me the Christmas plate when I was a little girl. I always ate Thanksgiving left overs on it as a child. The snowmen are ornaments that I picked up several years ago at a store in Union Square. I love how they have stars coming out of the top of their heads!

Santa was a gift. The vespa wind-up toy was purchased as a memento from our 1st anniversary trip to Rome!
There is my girl, only this time in the form of a snuff box! I have these two different ones and I’d love to find a third to round out the collection. I love all items in sets of odd numbers.
Tea for two, two for tea! I started collecting snuff boxes during college when I took a class on decorative arts and antiques. I wrote a paper about snuff boxes and became completely in love with the idea of collecting them!
The bride was a gift from a family friend in 2006 when we were engaged. I gave Mr. D the decopage paperweight – it has the address of our first home together embedded under the glass. No matter where we live, this “Greene and Prince” will always be our first home together as newlyweds.
The cork and caps are from champagne bottles at our wedding. The “chairs” are made from the wire that holds the cork in. Our wedding officiant made it for us as a gift and gave it to us at the end of our wedding reception. Sweet, no?
