I have several meetings set up with Spring-time Brides looking to finalize their stationery selections before the holidays. In between those meetings and press checks for holiday cards I will be doing Holiday Bakery sessions in the kitchen! YAY! I LOVE baking!

{Thanks for the photo Martha}
I love wrapping gifts with yarn. I am glad I am not the only one who does this! One year, I actually wrapped in fabric, not paper. Then, I crocheted and wrapped yarn around the gifts as shown above. Another year, I used bright yellow bubble filled extra-large mailing envelopes. I wrapped them in fine gage copper wire and glued/wired found objects like buttons and twigs onto the packages. No joke, the packaging was better than the gifts. I must have had a lot of time on my hands that year!
The snow globes and decorations are being pulled out of our closet this afternoon. Tomorrow we will pick up the fresh tree, a wreath and some roping. I hope to buy some blue lights as well. All those blue lights in London inspired me – Sloan Square was one of the most beautiful sites! Brides should be inspired and get married under lights like the ones in the square. They are so M A G I C A L.
It could take until the middle of next week before my decorating is done and our place is the glittery winter wonderland of years past. Just in time to bake!
{Last year our stockings were hung by the “FIRE” *escape* with care!}
{Love these sweet little mushroom birds. Every year they make an appearance somewhere!}
{One of our 7 trees was on the range hood – I have a soft spot for apple green tinsel trees!}
{Orange lights last year, maybe blue this one?}

Our holiday travels are sneaking up so quickly. Forego decor in lew of homemade cookies and knitted gifts -?- I don’t think so. It won’t be any fun to make those gifts and cookies if the decor is not festive!!! I need to kick into Holiday mode, and FAST!

{Thanks again Martha Stewart}
It’s time to “Deck the Halls” and the Kitchen, and the front room, and the studio, and the back room, and the bathroom and our bedroom…and and and…
Funny story: Mr. D came home to find the bed decorated with roping and lit up with birch tree branches replacing our bedside table lamps. He said “What did you do today?” I replied “Uh, nothing … really.” “Nothing? Are you SURE?”
{Yes, even the bathtub gets into the spirit!}
My goal is to get good holiday decoration photos this year. (Boy oh boy, do I wish I were a better photographer!) I guess that just might be my New Years Resolution!
I have to admit, at this point I have only bought three gifts. Within the next few days, I will place my collection of Christmas brooches on the shoulder of my Red coat and get out shopping! ‘Tis the season!

We have the same stockings, too funny! Here are mine sitting in a pile waiting to be hung up, with our coordinating kitten stockings of course! http://twitpic.com/pl76

Oh my goodness you are HILARIOUS. So, when do I get to come to your house — it looks gorgeous and so beautifully decorated! I’m so jealous!
Seriously though, you had me cracking up at the garland around the bathtub. Too cute!
