These are NOT her invites!
With a wink and a nod to the “This is not my Dress” series on Eat, Drink, Marry - I decided to do a “These are not her Invites” post. In the ABCD Design questionnaire Maggie indicated that both she and Trevor had certain typography that they were drawn to. They had a certain “feel” they were going for and they wanted A LOT of pattern. Below you will find three good options that I presented as a springboard to set the tone for their invitation suite.

“Homespun” “folky” “vintage textiles” and “pattern” were used throughout our first conversations. I wanted them to realize that this suite could go in a lot of different directions. We decided upon the wedding invitation design first and then honed in on the rest of the pieces in the suite. I believe one good decision makes the next that much easier. For option number two I gave them the design below to satisfy their “homespun” “folk art” “vintage textile” desires.

Maggie had said she liked pinwheels and pennants. So for design option number three I used the head of the flower pattern they liked to create that “pinwheel” effect she was looking for.

But alas, none of these lovely designs ended up being the final invitation. We selected elements from each and moved onto round two with a more focused vision of their invitation suite.
…Stay tuned for the unveil…
