When we lived in the heart of Soho, my evening walk to the market often included a stop at Ochre or into one of the other amazing interior design shops along the way. Since moving to the Financial District, I have been attempting to fill my daily dose of interior design desires online. Several items have caught my eye at Wisteria. Let’s start with this rustic two-drawer console table, shall we? It has a zinc top and I believe it would make itself quite useful in any room.

I am loving this industrial draftsman’s stool. This black iron look reminds me of weekends in Kent. Reason being, the Kent Iron Company was located in the Housatonic River region of Connecticut. That area was one of the country’s most important sources of iron in the 19th century. Black iron is used as home and interior accent accessories in almost every building for that reason! White painted cabinets with black iron handles =VERY= Kent, Connecticut!

We had a tripod lamp in the bedroom of our last place. I loved how it threw light onto my favorite painting, St. Annie. A workman knocked it down during our air conditioning installation project last summer. WAH! This metal tri-pod lamp would replace our broken one quite nicely!

Antique Style Metal Tripod Lamp

I like this antique stone side table. I can see myself placing my morning coffee cup upon it. It’s sort of like a garden stool, only better.

I am a sucker for linen and burlap (fill in the blank here) -!-ANYTHING-!- This feed sack table runner (avail in red or blue!) reminds me of that love. P.S. Check out this site if you’re looking for the “real deal” in feed/flour sack vintage linens. I know I will when I am ready to reupholster the right piece or start my collection of vintage hand towels!

These scatter pillows would look fabulous this summer on an all white bed or sofa!

This vintage washtub would look awfully good chalk full of colorful yarn!

If I had a place to dine outside … with a pergola overhead … can you imagine that?
Curled Wire Candle Chandelier
I think I would have to order two of these curled wire candle votive chandeliers to hang over a long farm table. Once they were hung and everything lit – delight! – only I would have to keep my fingers crossed that a breeze wouldn’t blow through.

From Swedish and French to Industrial and Contemporary – no doubt there is delightful home decor to be found at Wisteria.
