After ten and a half years it is hard to leave the City. This has been a tough realization for me that we might not come back … Right now, I am packing up the last few things to get on the road. I wanted to pop in and say hello. Sorry the last few Friday’s my posts have been a little light on pretty things. Boo to that. Plenty of beautiful food and decor fun to come in the upcoming weeks though ~I promise! It’s our intention to stay in Michigan until my interior design project is well on it’s way. August and maybe a few weeks in September? Who knows, I suppose it has mostly to do with how everything unfolds on Mr. D’s side … Let the adventure begin!

Sit back and enjoy the adventure. Yes, much easier for me to say, but trust me, I have moved over 9 times in 12 years (husband is an overachiever!).

Sarah, that is a very good point – Should we end up relocating outside the City, I will always have my friends and favorite “haunts” to come visit.

I hope you enjoy reconnecting with your family here in Michigan, I think this area is just a little bit of heaven on earth, both of course you know that. I’m sure it’s very hard to make this move, but remember when one door closes another one opens. It’s true! After living with total uncertainly for almost a year, our new door opened and here we are happy and thankful.

Kathy, we’re hanging out in Michigan just for the month of August while we wait on a job offer for Mr. D.
I have an interior design job here that should keep me busy for 6-8 weeks, so it all works out!
(Detroit has an unemployment rate of 20 percent – we’d be mad to actually move here!!)
