Paint it B L A C K! {more evidence of the trend}
It looks soooooo good to me. But oh-my-gosh it’s so prevalent! Yesterday, I caught a “paint it black” tweet with a Color Buzz blog post link that got me thinking dark – again. Maybe if I blog about it enough, I will get “over it” before I am tempted to paint?!?

When I did the “say it ain’t so” post last week, there were a rush of responses on Twitter from interior designers that I tweet with. Many had done posts about black trim, black paint and decorating in dark. I have added links to their blog posts in the comment section of that post. One such designer suggested deep plum, which I know is an up-and-coming color … but it is just not the same to me. I feel that there is something more traditional about black. Perhaps I will have to go check out Benjamin Moore’s historical color palette… maybe there is a plum that makes my heart sing. Navy perhaps? Oh, I dunno. Boo.

I think black trim is a great way to go! That way, if you get sick of it, it’s pretty easy to go in a different direction! That’s my plan, anyway

This is pretty daring, which I’m usually not. But I am a Black & White kind of girl! (Can you tell from website) So I’m thinking one all black room only. But with a big punch of color in maybe 1 or 2 accessories. A Bathroom maybe? BTW LOVE that Twig chandelier, wish I could find that. Hey maybe hub & I could make it.

Oh, but you can paint your walls black! Don’t hold back. It’s just paint. I got very close a couple of years ago and painted my bedroom a very dark slate. The photo of your table reminds me that I need to buy those Blu Dot “Real Good Chairs” in black for the dining room.

As I may have mentioned before (I can’t remember… I’m loosing my mind
), I painted our living room a deep, dark navy-ish blue. It is definately my favorite paint color in the entire house. Therefore, I say GO FOR IT! If you keep going back to black, then it was meant to be.

I for one am all about black as a neutral. There’s something…warm about it. And it’s slimming. And it goes with a lot of the new stone floor patterns my company is making
