Dec 27th 2009 Fresh holiday color palette {Plum + Tomato}

I am tickled-pink to announce that the 2009 Sucked Ass cards received a shout out from the New York affiliate of NBC the day before Christmas Eve ~ I don’t know how they found me, but that wink, weblink, and nod brought a very Merry Christmas, indeed!
ABCD-DESIGNS-BESPOKE-HOLIDAY-CARDSWe visited my side of the family in Michigan from Tuesday afternoon until Saturday morning. My father caught wind of my Salty set of cards … the man who never, ever, nuuuuuueeeeeeevvvver swears … laughed so hysterically that I thought his rosy red face may never return to a normal shade again. After that, we headed to Carlsbad, California. I am eating fish tacos and fresh avocado every chance I get! We’ll return to the City again Wednesday – just in time to celebrate the new decade!

Dec 22nd 2009 Taking stock, making resolutions, working on a plan.

Tis the SeasonI don’t know about you, but I have never been much of a “New Years Resolution” kind of gal. Each year, I will vow to go to the gym on a regular basis – but that usually goes unsaid – because I have made fitness a top priority for years. Since I was in high school, there has always been an unsaid commitment. *However* with all the moving, travel, and my work load (not to mention having a husband that has been home 100% of the time!) I have fallen off the workout wagon. This New Year I will climbing back on. That’s a promise.
The end of a dark yearIt’s no secret that Mr. D and I are at the end of a very long and dark year. Running from one fire to put out the next has been quite exhausting. No doubt I have learned a lot. I have realized I need to handle certain situations differently. I have been reminded of what is truly most important. I have also found myself ready to make decisions about the direction my business is taking.
Think, reflect and take stockToday, we travel to Michigan for Christmas. On Friday we will travel to San Diego for post-holiday fun with Mr. D’s family. It is my intention to take a few weeks off over the holidays. Bespoke Stationery will not be accepting new projects until after the New Year, and ABCD Design will be put on vacation. I am going to take this time to explore my options. I am not saying that the clock will strike 12 on New Years Eve and everything will become clear to me. This is all a learning process.
An evolution of sorts
Wherever YOU go I shall go..

Dec 18th 2009 Romantic Wedding Stationery {Plum + Cream}

Dolleen and Stephen's San Francisco Wedding SuiteOn Tuesday evening I had an offset press check for Dolleen and Stephen’s wedding suite. They’ll be married late in the Spring. In order to conserve some cash we printed the entire stationery suite at the same time that we were printing their save the dates. A little stationery printing FYI: If the printer only has to set-up and turn the machine on once, the price is better than if they have to turn on and set the printer up twice.
RSVP and Thank You Note
