Bowron Sheepskin Carpets {Gotta get one!}

When we moved onto Greene Street in 2007, I invested in two Bowron Gold Star Sexto sheepskin carpets. I placed one on each side of our bed. Boy, I am so happy that I did. There is nothing so seductive, comforting and lovely as the feeling of a sheepskin carpet on your bare feet before you slip into bed. What’s the best part, you ask? In the am, you get to have it be your first tactile experience of the day as you step out of bed. Talk about starting the day off on the right foot -winkwink! I can’t think of anything better…

Um… I am so totally loving them on the bed. I might just dive back in and call it a weekend! I don’t know about you, but I’ve had an incredibly busy week. I have wrapped up a few bespoke stationery projects ~ and have some new ideas up my cashmere sweater sleeve. Hope you have a wonderful winter weekend. xo

    They are beautiful, but all I can think of when I look at the rugs is how much my cats would enjoy them :o ) I mean they would never leave them alone and I have one solid white cat that would just blend in and I would be afraid I would step on him – LOL!

    I love the sheepskin rug I got for Beatrice… I drape it across my armchair and snuggle up tightly i it – the poor baby doesn’t get a look-in! Oddly, I have no idea where it is right now though – I must go have a look…

    Why, yes, these rugs are a true must!! They cannot help but turn up the volume of luxury – a much needed bliss, and reminder of greener pastures, in a busy city life. Hubby and I are so glad that we listened to your advice and purchased one of our very own!

    Beautiful! I have a little white one at home at the foot of my bed…Would you be able to recommend a good sheepskin rug cleaner? Eventually I will need to know where…

    Karen,

    If your machine can handle it, they are machine washable. Mine are large enough that I send them to the laundry/dry cleaner about 1 time a year. Otherwise I simply vaccum it. Also, Bowron sells a brush that is good to use on them after washing -

    Check out the care and conditioning portion of their site for more details! :) I hope you love it as much as I do!

    Trevor’s mother was visiting last week, wearing a long coat lined with faux fur on the inside. As we have no coat rack or place to hang coats, she placed it on the floor when she got here… and our cats were OBSESSED! I have never seen our cats fight as hard over who gets to sleep on a certain material before. Hilarious! I can only imagine how thrilled they’d be with these rugs on either side of the bed.
