The Maximalists present Handmade Nation

Lydia Barry Kutko (aka The Clueless Crafter) and me, ABCD have joined forces with the intention to create a time and space for creatives build meaningful relationships, to connect, network with one another and share their art. We call our new consortium The Maximalists because for us, it is about the act of creating art, the process of creation itself. We hope by planning a series of events that we will help to facilitate interesting conversations among creatives and produce a time and place for artistic collaborations to to germinate, blossom and grow. Our events will be all-inclusive. We hope to have fine artists, artisan craftspeople, Etsy enthusiasts, interior designers, graphic designers, photographers, writers, art historians and design enthusiasts at our meetings.

So without further ado, I’d like to announce our first BIG event! A screening of Handmade Nation on April 10, 2010. Read more about the event by visiting our new blog, at www.themaximalists.com. If you’d like to get involved, buy your ticket to the screening at The Maximalists’ ticket office.
We have the full intention of creating and facilitating many design-centric events in the future. We invite you to join our mailing list by sending an email to TheMaximalists[at]gmail.com. You can also keep up-to-date by following us on Twitter at @TheMaximalists.
