ABCD {l o v e s} Twitter!

When I woke up this morning – still bleary eyed, when the espresso was pushing it’s way through the machine – I opened up my laptop and clicked over to Twitter. I realize on many, many occasions I have written about the wonders of Twitter … but today … today is the day that it actually made my heart race.


Martha Stewart, following ME? Seriously? For real? I had to switch back and forth between my home screen and my follower list just to be certain it wasn’t a Twitter glitch! Embarrassingly enough, I wasn’t following her until she made the first move. Believe you me - I zipped right over to her page, followed her back, and added immediately her to my Nesting list. Because really - she is the queen of nesting, right?


I have another story about Twitter that I am dying to tell you. I just have not quite figured out how to word it yet … or how much of the story I am allowed to divulge – let’s just start the conversation by saying Twitter is the coolest place on earth for opening the doors of opportunity!

    This is exactly what makes Twitter awesome! I actually got to have a short convo with an author whose books my students love.

    Beverly – am I a compete nerd? Super flattering to know that she was just sitting there at her computer and for a *split* second thought “Hmnn… maybe I’ll follow this @ABCDDesigns -she likes the same things I do”

    Kara, for sure! I totally agree. It’s pretty incredible how Twitter can put you in such close proximity to people that you have always admired from afar!

    AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! OK, now that I’ve composed myself I have to say I’m not at all suprised. Not a bit! Martha knows a good thing when she sees it. Any designing woman worth her weight in gold ( and heaven knows she’s got a pile of that) would be a fool not to follow you.     YAY, ok I can’t wait to see your SASSY stationary on the Martha show! I think she would get a kick out of it! By the way your card has created a daily comment from the boy re: forking! Its quite funny and I think of you every time he says it…yea a wee bit strange!
    I too just LOVE twitter and have gained 3 local design clients just from tweeting design tips! It has just opened up our world to so many new connections. Like us, its so great to have creative supporters! Can’t wait for your BIG news!

    I love the sincere enthusiasm of this post! The world of twitter is amazing, like you said, to open up the doors of communication with those you never thought you would connect with. You’ve got good quality tweets so why wouldn’t someone like Martha follow you? So cool! Thanks for sharing and enjoy the moment!!
