Grey-Green Kitchen Love: Inspiration

Unfortunately, when I have been pulling inspiration for our kitchen renovation, I have not been 100% careful about documenting where I pulled all these images from. I have been on multiple cabinet websites, blogs and inspiration sources. I have made my best effort to link to the images properly. It wasn’t until I noticed my *adoration* of greenish-grey cabinetry that I decided I’d do a post on them.

Images via ABCD Designs Tumblr, Martha Stewart, Corea SotropaCote de Texas did a wonderful ‘kitchen elements to steal’ post which included several grey-green cabinet images. I usually don’t like to re-blog so many images from one post, but she really covered the color-way so well! I have seen those kitchens at Decor Pad and Houzz too, so check those sites out as well. Within her post, Cote de Texas linked to Willow Decor‘s office. It’s an image I posted once before under kitchen inspirationthat butlers pantry is so good I had to post it again! I would say cheat! I also love the black and white floors – do you think that would work in a small, galley-ish type kitchen?

Well, @ I Do Declare ~ that is exactly what I am considering it for! :)

    Thanks for chiming in today.

BTW: I forgot while I was putting this together — Right Bank Girl did her kitchen Trout Grey: http://www.fromtherightbank.com/2010/01/moving-in/

And Martha, of course @dwellingstyle pointed out — the Queen Bee’s kitchen: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/marthas-new-kitchen I just only wish the photos were larger!

Since you’re working with a small space, I’m thinking this might lighten things up. I love it!

It’s interesting because there are windows on either edge and doors on both sides — I know that doesn’t really make sense, but it feels more open and larger than it is!

We’ll see, I am considering doing a mix of two cabinet colors too…

I designed our last kitchen with green gray cabinets with a dark walnut island in the centre. The green gray looks like a different colour all day and night. It’s a fantastic colour!!

I love the one with the ugly floor. Im not crazy about the country styled ones.

But you really can’t go wrong.

OOHHH Amy, Great kitchens! I have black base cabinest (more of a light black? ) and cream uppers. I love the way the dark cabinets ground the space and don’t show fingerprints. I think the gray is lovely if you’re using a gray base color for the rest of the house. The black and white floor is classic as is the carrera. I’m sure whatever you do will be lovely!

Hey Amy! I LOVE the greyish green color direction. Personally when I get around to re-doing my kitchen I’m going to use this color for my peninsula island and antique white for the rest of my cabinets. I have to admit, if your asking for opinions, I’d change from the black to this…although I agree with the above comment, what ever you do will be lovely. Sometimes I think that too much black is a bit of an energy suck…kind of like the black hole. Although I do like soapstone counters! but then again, it’s more a chalk board effect and not really black! Beautiful inspirations…You go girl. I look forward to seeing your process and progress

Isn’t that pantry to die for?! I’m loving all those glass cabinets. Those would force me to purge all my junk that I hide behind the doors! Great collection of images, Thanks for sharing, and for the link!

Wow, the grey green combo is gorgeous — elegant yet comforting to the eye! And the light fixtures in these images — beautiful!

You have made me very happy today with these kitchens! The brass, the marble countertops, the pantry, the gray green, and so forth! But, there is still something about black kitchen cabinets!!!
