ABCD digital “camp counselor” at Tobi Fairley’s Blog
Hello friends! I hope (and trust) that you all had a delightful and relaxing 4th of July. I took a four day weekend and went practically internet free. I say practically, because I had the wonderful opportunity to write another guest blog post. This time I was invited to write on the blog belonging to a super-talented interior designer, (and my friend!) Tobi Fairley. More on that in a bit!
But first, a little about our 4th of July weekend: I started to read a book on the obscure history of our new area. It’s not the general history, (which I guess I really should have started with?!?) but it’s about the less told stories of our area. It’s completely fascinating!
The Mr. and I had grand plans of installing a patio in front of the romper room this past weekend. We had 40, 30×30 blue stone pavers delivered. On Friday I made a special trip to town and rented a tamping machine. But once we learned the actual method of building a stone patio – our D.I.Y. became a DON’T! You see, if there isn’t a proper foundation to your patio, the stones will settle and you might have cracking, settling and drainage issues. We decided our time and money was better spent getting estimates from stone masons.
Now, back to the guest post news: Tobi Fairley is running an Interior Design Summer Camp. She is graciously giving lessons on interior design to her “campers.” All month long, Tobi will be sharing the tips, tricks, and tools of the trade at her interior design Summer camp – a brilliant idea, no? Her blog posts have followed the camping theme with a month-long excursion deep into the forest of Interior Design! To my great delight, Tobi asked ABCD Design to kick off the July fun as a digital “camp counselor”! Hooray!!

The book sounds really interesting. Learning about (and from) untold stories is something we are all obsessed with at DG too. And the guest posting sounds wonderful! Looking forward to reading more about it!
