Modern AND Country Lighting {Barn Light Electric}
I’ve been looking for lighting that will strike the balance between Shaker Laundry House in the Country and Loft-like Modern. Barn Light Electric has very cool country-modern lighting. I love that first lacquered green one! The high-gloss paint gives it a little more finish and polish than the plain aluminum. I would totally get it in navy though for me. I like the green for you. Great collection of lighting here.

I need to go catch up on your renovation — that’s awesome that you are using them too! Our house already has a few similar pieces, as the outdoor lights and as lighting in the barn — I am specifically looking to replace what’s happening in the family area where the fireplace is.
Stacy, you’ve *seen* it — you know the “popcorn” looking lights upstairs? I need to select 6 fixtures so that I can ditch the moulded-plastic modern gigantic popcorn pendants.

I totally agree with you. Industrial is definitely handsome, classic, and modern all in one. Great finds–a couple of these lamps are going into the “for my future home” folder right now!

Greg, you’re right — I have to agree that ‘handsome’ is a good descriptive word for these lights.
I always think when (doing interior design) it’s always better to lean towards the masculine/handsome side of things. Women can adapt, see ‘pretty’ in manly way – and feel comfy. Men, in a frilly/girly space will never ever adapt and feel totally comfortable.
