I realize I don’t normally do this to you, my dear ABCD readers, but I have some matters to attend to over the next few days. I promise you this: if there was ever a good reason for me to pop away, this is a very good reason, indeed!
I usually write my morning blog post in an incredibly relaxed and organic way. Sometime I consult my folder titled “sketch book” and other times I tool around the internet investigating interesting ideas – all while sipping my morning espresso. I spend an hour or so waking up and getting inspired. I then delve into emails, printing estimates, writing quotes, etc. I take 60-90 minutes at the gym during lunchtime, shower, and with a wet head I get back to working on projects. Yes, I am that much on a schedule! Virgo = organized.
Yesterday, when I was at the gym (Yes – I tweet during cardio! I don’t have an ipod. It passes the time when I am climbing on this.) there was tons of conversation amongst my nesting friends. They were discussing how none of them had ever made a beef roast. From my blackberry, I shared this ‘Eye of the Round Roast’ recipe, and then the ‘Last Braise of the Season’ post from early last spring. That blog post from last Spring made my heart ache for life as normal again. The blog, my life was so much better when I had the ability to cook on a regular basis. I am determined to not make what is now, the new normal. So, with that, I am off to start the day in a different kind of way…
While I usually hold any meetings off to the late afternoon, I stepped out on a limb and this morning I have a meeting that begins only moments after I usually finish my sketch book time. Do you remember when I blogged about a happiness manifesto? Well, I am not *quite* ready to divulge all the knitty-gritty details, but what I will tell you is that I am off to explore some interesting opportunities.
{The wonderful photography in this post is by Jennifer Causey at Simply Breakfast. I am a huge fan!}
